8 March 2024, Friday

In his address on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov wrote:

“Dear women! From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you with the  International Women’s Day. March 8 is the holiday loved by everyone and is filled with warmest feelings.

You goad us on good deeds, fill the world with love and harmony, make a substantial contribution into development of the state and work in the most responsible spheres first of all in education, science, culture and art, medicine and social protection. We always feel your support due to which we together overcome hardships and difficulties.

You are wise keepers of the family hearth, traditional values, culture and a native language which pass with mother’s milk to the growing generation. This is a special role of a woman.

Women-veterans of the WWII, mothers and wives of defenders of the Motherland - participants of the special military operation – deserve the highest words of gratitude and respect. We are proud of women who have dedicated themselves to serving the Fatherland and properly fulfill their military and business duty.

Taking into account the importance of issues of protection of motherhood and childhood, improvement of quality of lives of Russian families and creating conditions for self-realization of citizens, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced 2024 as the Year of the Family. Our national leader emphasized that the most important intended purpose of the family is having and raising children that is the key to succession and prosperity of the multi-national people of Russia.

Dear women! 8 Mach unites all generations and is a symbol of acknowledgement of your beauty, kindness and caress. May happiness, concord and well-being prevail in your families. In this holiday I wish you good mood and all the best.”
