Rustam Minnikhanov meets Minister of Economy of Turkey Nihat Zeybekci

On April 26, during his working visit to Ankara, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a working visit with the Minister of Economy of Turkey Nihat Zeybekci.

Speaking at the meeting, Zeybekci noted that Tatarstan is interesting for Turkish business, as evidenced by a large share of investments from Turkey in the economy of the republic. "Our task is to develop all-round cooperation, to increase investment and mutual trade. We are glad that our businessmen are working in Tatarstan and support them in this regard, " he stressed.

In his turn, Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan focuses on the development of ties with Turkey as part of relation between Russia and Turkey.   Tatarstan President also appreciated the contribution Nihat Zeybekci  has made to the strengthening of the cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey.

"Thanks to the political will of the Turkish leadership and your support in Tatarstan, large investment projects have been implemented. They include unique, high-tech projects. We are proud of each of them, " Tatarstan President said.

Minnikhanov added that the experience of Turkey in supporting small and medium-sized businesses, developing the infrastructure of industrial sites is of great interest for Tatarstan.

An Agreement on Cooperation between the Small and Medium Industry Development Organization of Turkey (KOSGEB) and the Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan was signed during the meeting.
