Young entrepreneurs of OIC countries introduce their startup projects to Rustam Minnikhanov

On May 10, on the sidelines of the 10th International Economic Summit “Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the participants of the fourth Kazan Forum of Young Entrepreneurs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries.

The Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum has been held since 2015 and is aimed at creating conditions for implementation of the potential of the youth of Russia and Muslim countries by supporting the author’s projects and teaching them new quality of project management.

During the meeting, developers from Russia, Pakistan, Nepal and Kazakhstan introduced their startup projects. New solutions in the area of cloud technologies in the sphere of agroindustrial complex, multimedia systems for schoolchildren with hearing impairments, technologies for working with crypto currency were introduced.

Minnikhanov thanked participants at the Forum for the presentations and noted that meetings in such format became a good tradition as part of KazanSummit.

“Together with the Islamic Development Bank and the OIC we should think over the financial cushion so that the startups were systemic in nature and for a long time. Our Innopolis should become the venue for such projects. Therefore, I urge for establishing such a structure,” he added.
