On May 11, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with participants of the Conference of Young Diplomats from OIC member states, which is held during the 10th International Economic Summit “Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit.”
Minnikhanov noted that every year the KazanSummit forum is gaining momentum, expanding its geography and increasing the number of participants. "The summit is becoming more meaningful. Quite an interesting exhibition devoted to the Halal industry has been organized on its site. The summit is of huge interest, this form of work is very important, Minnikhanov stressed. "Today, more than 20 million Muslims live in Russia. The form of work through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is the most effective for today and we find full understanding,” Tatarstan President said.
In his turn, Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kolpakov noted that the KazanSummit is one of the main economic sites in Russia today.
