Rustam Minnikhanov visits Red Bull Air Race in Kazan
On August 25, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko, Director General of the Red Bull Air Race Erik Wolf and Tatarstan Minister of Sport Vladimir Leonov watched the next stage of the world championship in the air race Red Bull Air Race, held over the water area of Kazanka river. Kazan Family Centre became the main area for watching the air show.
During two days, 14 Master pilots and 6 Challenger pilots will compete for the right to go to the next stage to be held in Wiener Neustadt in Austria.
Minnikhanov visited the tower, where the flights are monitored. Tatarstan President was informed that the jury members reveal the winner in a number of indicators such as the speed of the route, the accuracy and skill of controlling the racing plane. In particular, pilots risk getting penalty seconds for exceeding the speed limit of 370 kilometers per hour at the start.
