Dear Muslims of Tatarstan!
Dear compatriots!
From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on a blessing holiday of offering sacrifices – Eid-Al-Adha!
This long-awaited day, filled with righteous exaltation, is the culmination of the great pilgrimage of Muslims from all over the world to the holy Mecca, where believers offer the Almighty endless prayers for the path to perfection, repentance and salvation indicated by the prophet Ibrahim and all the faithful. Eid-Al-Adha is a time of spiritual redemption, fraternal unity and good deeds.
Many of us follow the path of life with sincere faith in Allah, trying to change the world around us for the better, to make it more humane and just. “Strive to get ahead of each other in good deeds,” the Holy Quran says. Following this enduring truth, Muslims purify their souls with inspired labour, merciful deeds, and sensitive care for the weak and poor.
In Tatarstan, which is a common home for representatives of many ethnicities and religions, Eid al-Adha is one of the most revered and universally celebrated holidays. Thanks to joint efforts aimed at strengthening traditional values, we create conditions for the full development of the individual.
The noble aspirations and charitable deeds of the Muslims of Tatarstan fully correspond to the dynamic, creative rhythm in which our entire multinational republic lives today.
May the present Eid al-Adha be even more magnificent, generous and happy! I wish you peace, kindness and the help of the Almighty in all your good undertakings! Happy holiday, dear Tatarstan citizens!
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
