On August 22, at the Kazan Arena Stadium, before the opening of the 45th WorldSkills Competition, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting between Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and President of WorldSkills International Simon Bartley.
Medvedev thanked Bartley for supporting the initiatives of the Russian Federation as part of the WorldSkills movement. “First of all, I would like to thank you for everything that you have done, and, of course, for supporting our involvement and initiatives,” the Prime Minister said.
He noted that Russia has joined the WorldSkills movement recently. “However, now we already consider ourselves full participants in the movement and it makes us very happy,” Medvedev said.
In his turn, Bartley noted the effective interaction between the WorldSkills leadership and the Russian leaders.
