Address of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on the occasion of the Republic Day

Dear citizens of Tatarstan!

From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on the main national holiday – the Republic Day!

The preparations for the 100th anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic brings a special mood to the public life. The way Tatarstan has made shows that the unity of people in the name of clear and bright goals, their creative work create the conditions for the steady growth of the economy, improving living standards, preserving and enhancing the rich cultural heritage - the most important basis for the spiritual life of society.

Multinational Tatarstan is developing in conditions of socio-political stability. The stable ongoing campaign for the election of people’s deputies of the State Council of the sixth convocation in the republic has convinced us of this fact. There is no doubt that a representative deputy corps will be able to provide legislative support for the further development of the republic.

Being one of the leading constituent entities of the Russian Federation, Tatarstan feels the full support of the country's leadership. In cooperation with the regions, we are confidently working on the implementation of the strategic tasks set forth in the May Decree 2018 of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The high level of WorldSkills Competition that ended a few days ago in Kazan has demonstrated the huge infrastructure and personnel potential accumulated by the republic. Confidence in Tatarstan from the federal centre and international organizations contributes to the further growth of investment attractiveness, the successful implementation of measures to improve the quality of life of Tatarstan people.

The programmes implemented by the republic are aimed at providing citizens with modern housing and a comfortable living environment, good medicine and a high-quality education, the opportunity to have children and bring them up, and to have respect and prosperity at the end of their lives.

The Republic of Tatarstan celebrates its holiday in an atmosphere of creation and confidence in tomorrow. On behalf of the State Council and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and on my own behalf, I express my sincere appreciation for your diligent work for the benefit of the native republic and the Russian Federation.
