On September 27, at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Centre, speaking at the opening ceremony of the final of the All-Russian contest “Digital Breakthrough”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the development of digital economy tools is one of the priorities.
First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko and Director General of Autonomous non-profit organization “Russia - Country of Opportunities” Aleksey Komissarov took part in the event.
Minnikhanov thanked the organizers for holding the final stage of the Digital Breakthrough contest in Kazan. He emphasized that work on the development of digital economy tools is done as part of the national projects. Successful implementation of this large-scale task depends on competent young IT professionals, he went on to say. At the end of his speech, Tatarstan President invited Kiriyenko to continue to hold this contest in the republic.
In his turn, Kiriyenko reminded the contest participants that the WorldSkills Kazan-2019 was held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre a month ago. And today the centre hosts the final stage of the contest, in which the best domestic experts in the field of high technology will compete.
“In the coming days, you have to solve not educational problems, but real ones. If you successfully complete the tasks, you can improve the lives of people and the infrastructure of their cities. This will be an important step both in your personal development and in the development of your regions, our country as a whole,” he said.
Kiriyenko emphasized that in a rapidly changing world, a country's competitiveness is determined not by the availability of natural resources, but by human capital.
