18 February 2020, Tuesday

On February 18, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of the Finnish Kaukointernational Company.

Minnikhanov already met senior executives of the Finnish company in November 2019. Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, the Vodokanal Municipal Unitary Enterprise and Kaukointernational was signed.

Based on this document, the Finnish company has developed a number of proposals for the restoration of silt fields in Kazan, which were submitted to Minnikhanov today. In particular, decisions were made to neutralize unpleasant odors, protect groundwater from the risk of contaminants, and create sustainable soil for the further development of recreational projects.

Minnikhanov thanked the representatives of Kaukointernational for the presentation, noting that every option will be carefully considered by relevant specialists.

Kaukointernational is an environmental engineering company, covering various areas of activity, including energy efficiency, waste processing, biogas production, “clean” energy generation, modern solutions for wastewater treatment, digitalization, etc.
