On March 25, during his working visit to to Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the assembly shop of KAMAZ plant and got acquainted with measures taken at the plant to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Director General of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin said that the company has taken a number of medical measures to minimize the spread of the new virus. In particular, a 14-day quarantine has been introduced for employees arriving from abroad. Remote work of employees is organized, where possible.
Also, Minnikhanov was told that masks with filters, protective suits, goggles, disinfectants, devices for air disinfection, thermometry, group thermal imagers (portable and stationary) are being purchased. An information leaflet on measures to prevent coronavirus has been developed.
Tatarstan President talked to employees of the enterprise and asked them about preventive measures at their workplaces. The workers told him that their temperature is taken, showers, locker rooms, and recreation areas are sanitized on a daily basis.
In his turn, Minnikhanov noted the positive experience of KAMAZ in the prevention of coronavirus and suggested spreading it to other enterprises of the republic.
