On April 21, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had an online meeting with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the field of trade, operating in the region.

“I can assure you that we carefully consider all your queries to work out forms of support,” he told participants of the meeting.

More than 17,000 retail enterprises, about 5,000 catering facilities, about 6,000 consumer services enterprises and 27 retail markets are registered in the republic at the moment.

During the meeting, representatives of X5 Retail Group asked Minnikhanov not to fine entrepreneurs within one to two days after entering decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan in connection with the current situation into force. Minnikhanov assured them that all the necessary amendments to the relevant decisions in this regard will be made by today.

Castorama management asked to pay for electricity according to actual consumption, that is, according to energy meter readings. Minnikhanov instructed the management of Tatenergosbyt Power Supply Company to provide for such an opportunity.

CEO of Kvintes-Group applied to Minnikhanov to provide support measures in terms of deferring state and municipal property lease payments. Tatarstan President said that this issue is being considered at the moment, adding that a decision will be made shortly.

“This week shows an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection detected, therefore we can not remove the restrictions so far. We are waiting for the next week, everything will depend on what the indicators for the spread of the virus will be,” Minnikhanov said.

“We are currently developing a number of measures to support the sector of small and medium-sized businesses. We will definitely announce them in the coming days. The main thing is to take care of yourself, relatives and your staff,” Minnikhanov said at the end of the meeting with entrepreneurs.
