Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin: The compliance with the face mask regime will be strictly monitored in Tatarstan

On May 12, at the Government House of the republic, speaking at a meeting, via videoconference, on sanitary and epidemiological situation with the participation of all municipalities of the republic, ministries and departments of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the compliance with the face mask regime will be strictly monitored in Tatarstan.

Pesoshin reminded that the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic No. 370 dated May 10, 2020 came into force in the region. According to the document, citizens no longer need to receive SMS passes to leave the house.

At the same time, he emphasized that the compliance with all requirements in connection with the current sanitary and epidemiological situation is mandatory for everyone.

Our task is to support the economy, ensure demand and gradually move towards ensuring a normal life, Pesoshin said. However, wearing protective face masks and gloves, especially in places of trade, public transport is strictly necessary, he added. 

Pesoshin also reminded that if previously it was mandatory to observe the self-isolation regime for citizens, then starting from the 12th of May it is merely advisory.

According to Pesoshin, the compliance with the face mask regime by the citizens will be monitored by mobile teams, which will include police officers and the Russian Guard, as well as representatives of executive committees at the local government level.

It is too early to relax, the Prime Minister of Tatarstan said and called for strict compliance with the requirements in connection with the sanitary-epidemiological situation and the prevention of coronavirus infection: “I am wearing a mask and gloves and I am calling you, colleagues, to do this. You are the example of the compliance with these rules at sites! ”

Pesoshin noted that the results of the compliance with the face mask regime in cities and regions of the republic will be discussed two days later. 

He also reminded that the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan has developed a leaflet in connection with the observance of sanitary measures and possible fines for violation of the face mask regime.
