Rustam Minnikhanov arrives in Moscow to participate in the Days of Tatarstan

On August 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit to the capital of Russia to take part in the events under the Days of Tatarstan in Moscow.

Upon arrival, Minnikhanov went to the Khimki cemetery to take part in an unveiling ceremony of a monument to Soviet intelligence officers Iskhak Akhmerov and his wife Helen Lowry.

Tatarstan President said that the compatriot Akhmerov made a great contribution to the victory in the World War II and his merits were honoured by state awards.

Minnikhanov thanked the Moscow government and everyone who took part in the implementation of the project on the establishment of a monument to Soviet intelligence officers.

The itinerary of the visit includes a visit to the Tretyakov Gallery and participation in the opening ceremony of the exhibition of avant-garde works from the collection of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Tatarstan "Masterpieces from Kazan. From Roerich to Kandinsky".
