Roman Chekushov, the Director of the Export Development Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, held a number of seminars and meetings in Tatarstan on export issues, including the export of Halal products.
It was noted that as of August 14, 52% of the agricultural products export plan of the Republic has been completed and amounted to $165.4 million of $318.3 million plan. Compared to the same period of the last year we see an increase of 80.6% or $73.8 million.
Roman Chekushov noted that the Republic has made a huge breakthrough in the export of agricultural products over the past year, and a serious regional infrastructure has been created. The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, in turn, will improve financial support tools.
An important place is occupied by the expansion of exports of Halal products. The total volume of Halal products produced in the Republic currently is more than $95.2 million and consists of more than 50 manufacturers, including 18 export-oriented companies, of which 5 companies have an international Halal certificate.
It was noted at the meeting that Tatarstan plans to increase the export of Halal products at least twice by 2024 compared to the expected results of 2020.
