On October 19, during his working visit to Turkey, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the enterprises of the organized industrial zone in Izmir.
The industrial zone with the total area 624 hectares is located in the northwest of Izmir, 20 km from the seaport, 45 km from the airport, 8 km from the customs post for trucks. The zone has 584 enterprises employing over 40,000 people.
Resident companies represent sectors such as textiles and clothing, engineering, automotive components, metal processing, chemical and food industries, plastics, electronics, etc.
Tatarstan President visited a number of enterprises of the industrial zone. In particular, he got acquainted with the production of plastic pipes of various diameters by the Esen Plastic company. The plant produces about 2,000 types of products.
Minnikhanov also visited the Norm Civata plant, manufacturing bolts and fastenings for companies in the engineering, automotive, household appliance, electronics, furniture and construction sectors. It also interacts with such large companies as FORD, Fiat and others. The President of Tatarstan got acquainted with the production line and the main output products.
