On March 30, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of the Neuroscience and Cognitive Technology Laboratory of Innopolis University.
The laboratory conducts interdisciplinary research and experimental work to develop human-machine interfaces for the education of children, rehabilitation and industrial production.
In February this year, Senior Laboratory Scientist Vladimir Maksimenko became a laureate of Russian Presidential Award in science and innovation for young scientists in 2020 for the development of invasive and non-invasive brain-computer interfaces for monitoring normal and pathological brain activity.
Tatarstan President congratulated Maksimenko on a high award and emphasized that the research work of a young IT specialist is of great practical importance in medicine and education. Minnikhanov also handed in a Letter of Gratitude of Tatarstan President to the scientist for his fruitful work and contribution to the development of science and education.
Head of the Laboratory of Neuroscience and Cognitive Technologies of the University of Innopolis Alexander Khramov, Director of the University of Innopolis Kirill Semenikhin and Rector of the IT University Alexander Tormasov were also awarded the Letter of Gratitude of Tatarstan President.
Minnihanov thanked the scientists of Innopolis for the research and emphsized their importance for the whole country.
