17 April 2021, Saturday

On April 17, speaking at a weekly meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that he got vaccinated against Covid-19.

Minnikhanov noted that the stably tense situation with regard to Covid-19 remains in the republic. “Our growth rate is 0.16 per cent, however the virus has not disappeared. In general, we have good indicators both in terms of statistics and dynamics. However, there can be no indulgences,” he said.

The President drew attention to the importance of systematic work on vaccination in order to prevent a surge in Covid cases, as is happening in a number of countries. He stressed that everyone needs to be vaccinated, including those who have already had coronavirus and recovered. According to research, antibodies from the blood of those who have been ill disappear in a matter of months. “Everyone needs to be vaccinated. Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich was vaccinated. I also got the jab and feel good,” Minnikhanov said.

To date, 197 thousand 765 people have already been vaccinated against coronavirus in Tatarstan. Tatarstan President reminded that there are 153 vaccination points in the republic. People can choose which vaccine to get.
