Rustam Minnikhanov: Today Tatarstan is one of the petrochemical centres of our country
On May 26, during his working visit to Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony dedicated to the Chemists’ Day at the the Neftekhim Arena Ice Palace.
Before the event, Minnikhanov looked around the exhibition of the regional petrochemical enterprises, got acquainted with the priority areas of the development of the chemical complex of Tatarstan, including strengthening the scientific and educational potential.
Delivering his welcoming speech, Minnikhanov congratulated workers and old stagers of the chemical industry on their professional holiday. “We have a good tradition to celebrate the Chemists’ Day in Nizhnekamsk, visit our enterprises, open new production facilities there. Today we have launched three production lines at the Taneco Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex, got acquainted with a new project at Nizhnekamskneftekhim. These are huge investments, state-of-the-art world-class production facilities. This means that our petrochemical products will be competitive and promising,” Tatarstan President said.
At the same time, skilled employees are the most important thing in any manufacturing process, Minnikhanov noted. “You make up the backbone of our chemical industry. Therefore, we pay great attention to the development of the scientific and educational sphere, training of personnel,” he emphasized.
“Today Tatarstan is one of the petrochemical centres of our country. We have big plans for the future. I hope we will implement them,” Minnikhanov added.
Then Tatarstan President handed in a number of state awards of Tatarstan to workers of the chemical and petrochemical industry of the republic.
