The "Tour de Tatarstan Kazan 2021" cycling race took place in Kazan

On September 25, Kazan hosted the main cycling race of the Republic of Tatarstan - Tour de Tatarstan Kazan 2021. It was held for the third time, more than 500 participants from 26 regions of Russia registered for it.

The start of the competition was given at 7 am. The athletes covered 100, 60 and 20 km along the main streets of the city. Despite the rainy weather, the athletes went to the start and launched a real fight for the championship at these distances.

The absolute winner at a distance of 100 km was Alexander Bako, he overcame it in 02:29:07. Danil Konotop took second place, his time was 02:32:57. Dmitry Zoteev took third place, he finished in 02:46:10.

Among women, Alyona Zoteeva took the first place at a distance of 100 km, her time was 03:10:37. Alina Panfilova took silver, her result was 03:43:02. Anastasia Eddington-Barker came third, her time was 04:12:09.

At a distance of 60 km, Anton Savkin became the winner, he finished in 01:39:53. Among women, Irina Matveeva became the leader, her time was 02:03:49.

Andrey Vansovsky was the first to overcome 20 km, 32:59. Ekaterina Gudkova became the first at this distance among women, her time is 42:00.

After the adults, the children started, they competed near the Ak Bars Arena on bicycles and running bikes, and the weather conditions only added enthusiasm. There was no championship at the children's start: everyone who went to the start is already a winner.

The next start of the Timerman series will be the final one in this sports season. Kazan National Half Marathon 2021, one of the largest running starts in Tatarstan, will be held on October 10. For the first time, compatriots living in other regions will take part in it — they will simultaneously run through the streets of their cities in skullcaps.
