113 athletes from 37 countries will take part in the FINA World Cup in Kazan, which will be held at the Aquatics Palace from October 28 to 30.

More than 100 volunteers will assist in organizing the competitions.

The competitions of the Swimming World Cup in Kazan are included by FINA in the list of competitions to meet the FINA standards "A" and "B" for participation in the World Championship (25m) in Abu Dhabi on December 16-21, 2021.

The Swimming World Cup has been held by the International Aquatics Federation (FINA) since 1988. The competitions are divided into stages that take place in different cities around the world. In 2021, the Cup stages will be held in Berlin (October 1-3), Budapest (October 7-9), Doha (October 21-23) and Kazan (October 28-30). At all four stages, athletes will compete in a 25-meter pool, and their results will become qualifying for the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi (December 16-21, 2021).

Kazan has already hosted the FINA World Cup stages in 2015, 2018 and 2019.

The FINA World Cup stage will be held normally, taking into account all precautions. The Organizing Committee is waiting for all participants and judges of the competitions in the capital of Tatarstan.

The event is held in accordance with the Regulations developed on the basis of the FINA regulations, taking into account the requirements established by the legislation of the Russian Federation and the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. Work will be organized to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection – providing disposable masks, equipping areas for hygienic hand treatment, measuring body temperature at the entrance groups, marking to maintain social distance.

The starting press conference will be held on October 27 at 14.00 in the Palace of Water Sports. Media representatives accredited to the competition are invited to participate.
