Meeting of Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov

On September 27, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a working visit in Turkmenistan to take part in the celebrations of the Independence Day of the republic, had a meeting with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.

Turkmenistan President thanked Minnikhanov for his participation in the celebrations on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, emphasizing that the current visit of a representative delegation of Tatarstan is considered a vivid proof of the special nature of bilateral cooperation, which has a stable and multifaceted nature.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the warm welcome, Tatarstan President conveyed cordial greetings and congratulations of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Turkmenistan President. Thanking the leader of the nation for his constant attention to issues of Turkmen-Tatar relations, Minnikhanov emphasized that he was very glad to have the opportunity to visit fraternal Turkmenistan again, which Tatarstan considers a good friend and an extremely promising partner.

Continuing the meeting held in an expanded format, an exchange of views on the new opportunities for expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan took place. The parties emphasized the presence of a solid potential for mutually beneficial efforts in various areas.

At the end of the meeting, Minnikhanov was handed in the Order of Turkmenistan "Garaşsyzlyk". Berdymuhamedov emphasized that efficient cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres is an example to follow.
