Rustam Minnikhanov meets Prince, Advisor to the King, Governor of Mecca Province, His Highness Emir Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud

On November 24, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Prince, Advisor to the King, Governor of Mecca Province, His Highness Emir Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud.

Minnihanov thanked Khaled bin Faisal Al Saud for participating in the meeting of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group and expressed deep gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for hospitality and excellent facilities for the work of the Group.

Minnikhanov also expressed gratitude for the attention paid by the Saudi leadership to Tatarstan delegations and pilgrims performing the Hajj.

He also said that visa services for pilgrims and tourists coming to Saudi Arabia will be greatly facilitated due to the planned opening of the Consulate General of the Kingdom in Kazan.

“Saudi Arabia is an important partner of Russia. We are developing relations in almost all areas. The leaders of our countries have repeatedly emphasized during the talks their mutual interest in increasing interaction in the trade, economic and investment spheres," Tatarstan President said.

Minnikhanov also emphasized that Tatarstan is actively working on this issue and sees interest, in particular, in cooperation in energy and agriculture. He said that Tatarstan is a pilot region for the implementation of Islamic banking projects in Russia and is ready to cooperate in these areas.

Minnikhanov together with Emir Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud looked around the exhibition “History of Islam in Russia”. The exhibition was organized under the meeting of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group.
