Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrives on a working visit in Tatarstan

On February 10, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who arrived on a working visit in Tatarstan, was met by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials at the Gabdulla Tukay International Airport in Kazan.

Tatarstan President paid a working visit to Kazakhstan on January 24, 2022. Today, Tatarstan is leading among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the level of economic, industrial and technological cooperation with Kazakhstan. According to the results of 11 months of 2021, the mutual trade turnover of Tatarstan and Kazakhstan amounted to 423 million US dollars.

An example of successful cooperation between Tatarstan and Kazakhstan is the implementation of projects in mechanical engineering with the participation of companies KAMAZ Automaker and Tatneft Oil Companies amounting to 1.8 billion dollars. Active work on construction of three plants for the production of KAMAZ auto components and tires of Tatneft Oil Company in the Kostanay and Karaganda regions of Kazakhstan is underway. According to the results of 9 months of 2021, the share of KAMAZ in the market of new trucks in Kazakhstan is 42 per cent, which is 1068 units.
