Exactly 200 days until the FIVB Volleyball World Cup 2022 in Russia

For the first time in history, the Volleyball World Championship among men's teams will be held in Russia. The best national teams of the planet will compete for the main volleyball trophy in 10 cities from August 26 to September 11, 2022. Participants and guests of the tournament will be hosted by Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Yaroslavl, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk.

Today there are exactly 200 days left until the opening match of the World Cup between the VFB national team and the Tunisian team.

"There are only 200 days left until the opening match of the World Cup. Preparations for the tournament are in full swing," said Roman Stanislavov, General Director of the Organizing Committee of the FIVB 2022 Volleyball World Championship. – Now the Organizing Committee is conducting inspection visits to all the host cities and sports facilities that will host the tournament - arenas and training bases, test events are being held.

Given the high level of preparation of the regional authorities for the organization of the event, there is no doubt that everything will be held at the highest level and every fan will get incredible pleasure from the volleyball holiday.

On February 21, the volunteer program of the World Championship starts. More than 3,500 volunteers will be involved in the preparation of the events in 18 functional areas, there is a great interest in the program, we expect more than 30 thousand applications. In the spring, the World Cup will go on a grand tour around the country – a Trophy Tour. Volleyball legends and current players will take part in the events. There is a lot of interesting things ahead of us!" Roman Stanislavov said.

The FIVB Volleyball World Championship 2022 will be held from August 26 to September 11, 2022 in 10 cities of the country: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk.

24 national teams took part in the championship: WWF team, Poland, Tunisia, Cameroon, Italy, Slovenia, Brazil, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Canada, France, USA, Serbia, Cuba, Netherlands, Germany, Mexico, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Bulgaria, China, Japan, Iran.

The format of the tournament provides for two group stages and the Final six in Moscow, which will determine the new world champion.
