The best athletes of not only the country, but also the world came to the start. The competitions will be held with the participation of world gymnastics stars, Olympic champions of Tokyo: Nikita Nagorny, Artur Dalaloyan, Vladislav Urazova, David Belyavsky and Victoria Listunova.
Valentina Rodionenko, the head coach of the Russian national gymnastics team, greeted the participants of the competition. "You are participants in very serious competitions," the coach addressed the athletes. - After the Olympic Games, this is practically the first start in Russia," she said.
The higher the status of the competition, the more carefully they treat the venue, it was not for nothing that the choice fell on Kazan. In his welcoming speech, the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, Vladimir Leonov, noted that the Gymnastics Center is a unique base for holding competitions. "We have such an infrastructure. This is one of the best gymnastics centers in our country, so thank you to the Volga Region University for the hospitality," Vladimir Leonov said.
Such competitions are a big event for Kazan. These words were made by the Russian statesman and sports figure Marat Bariev. "You and I, dear Kazan residents, are very lucky that we will be able to see almost all the heroes of Tokyo on the same platform these days," he explained. "There have never been so many Olympic champions on the same platform in Kazan before."
Recall that this time the competitions will be held in a new format: from April 6 to 10, women and juniors will compete, and from April 11 to 17, the strongest men and juniors will be determined.
