Congratulation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on Eid al-Fitr.
“Dear Tatarstan residents! Dear compatriots! I sincerely congratulate you on the end of fasting and blessed holiday Eid al-Fitr - Uraza Bayram.
This long-awaited, joyful day for Muslims all over the world fills the hearts of believers with prayerful gratitude to the All-Forgiving Allah for his boundless mercies and the Noble Quran granted on the night of predestination of the holy month of Ramadan. A generous reward for selfless faith, moral and physical purification during the Uraza, our pious thoughts and merciful deeds invariably become the favor of the Almighty, the absolution of sins and spiritual harmony.
On the great holiday of Uraza-Bayram, Muslims of Tatarstan together with millions of their co-religionists, looking to Mecca pray to Allah to send peace and prosperity to mankind. This is particularly relevant in our difficult time, which requires every restraint, dignity and personal participation in the strengthening of constructive interethnic and interreligious interaction, fostering a respectful attitude towards religion, culture and language of other peoples.
This year is special for the Muslims of Tatarstan and the entire Russian Muslim Ummah – it marks 1100 years of voluntary adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. A significant anniversary, celebrated in accordance with the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin at the state level is of great importance both for Tatarstan and for the whole of Russia. I am sure that the numerous events held under its celebration will significantly contribute to strengthening the eternal spiritual values, further uniting our multinational people and restoring historical justice.
Uraza Bayram is a holiday of good deeds and mercy. It has become a wonderful tradition to hold crowded iftars, colorful children's holidays, cultural, educational and charitable events in Tatarstan. I am convinced that the Muslims of the republic will generously share their warmth and festive meal with all the weak and needy, and especially with those who are in the greatest trouble today - refugees and internally displaced persons.
May the Almighty fill our hearts with faith, mercy and love in this beautiful feast! I sincerely wish you all happiness, peace, health, kindness and well-being!”
