Tatarstan President: Petrochemical Industry in the growth point of our republic
On 26 May, speaking at an event dedicated to the Chemist’s Day in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that petrochemical industry makes a substantial contribution into providing the economic development of the republic.
He said that petrochemical enterprises make 40% of the total industrial production volume in the region. “In our country the Strategy-2030 Petrochemical Industry is one of the most important growth points of Tatarstan and we are moving in this direction,” he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov underlined that today the branch is facing serious tasks both from the point of view of production development and solution of social tasks. “These include training specialists and improvement of cities where our petrochemical specialists are living in. These issues will always be a priority for us,” he stated.
Tatarstan President expressed his special gratitude to the SIBUR Company which is a strategic partner of the republic.
In the end of the event, Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards of Tatarstan to a number of workers of the industry.
