International aquatics competitions "Friendship Games" will be held in Kazan
From July 21 to August 2, Kazan will host the first stage of the comprehensive international swimming, synchronized swimming and diving competitions "Friendship Games". More than 1,100 athletes are expected to take part in the competitions, which will be held at the Kazan Palace of Water Sports.
The first stage of the "Friendship Games", called "PEACE", will be the first international start of this summer in Kazan. The strongest Russian and foreign swimmers, synchronized swimmers and jumpers will gather in the capital of Tatarstan for two weeks.
The program of the first stage includes three sports: swimming, synchronized swimming and diving. International swimming competitions will be held on July 21-25 and will bring together 900 participants (men, women, juniors and juniors). The Russian Swimming Cup will also be held as part of the competition. From July 26 to 29, international diving competitions will be held at the DVVS site, 100 athletes (men, women, juniors and juniors) will take part in them. International synchronized swimming competitions within the framework of the first stage of the Friendship Games will be held on July 30-August 2. 150 participants (men, women, juniors, juniors, girls and boys) will take part.
The broadcast of the competition will be carried out by the MATCH TV channel.
"Friendship Games" will be held with the participation of the audience. Tickets will be available on the kzn website.kassir.ru /, at the ticket offices of the city and the Palace of Water Sports. As part of the spectator program, activities with star athletes will be organized, including autograph sessions.
By the end of 2022, two more stages of the Friendship Games are planned to be held in Kazan: the II stage "SPORT" will be held from November 9 to 26, the III stage "LEGENDS" – from December 15 to 26. As part of the "SPORT" stage, the Cup of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan in diving and International swimming competitions are planned. The III stage of the competition will be spectacular and will bring together "legends" of water sports in Kazan. In December 2022, Vladimir Salnikov Cup in swimming, Svetlana Romashina Cup in synchronized swimming and Dmitry Sautin Cup in diving will be held.
The general management of the organization and holding of the Friendship Games is carried out by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Directorate of Sports and Social Projects, the All-Russian Swimming Federation Public Organization, the Synchronized Swimming Federation of Russia, the Russian Diving Federation.
