Innopolis to host the final of the All-Russian competition "Start the Game"

On July 1, TASS Information Agency hosted a press conference dedicated to the launch of a new all-Russian competition "Start the Game" based on the presidential platform "Russia - the Land of Opportunities", the final of which will be held in Innopolis in November 2022.

The new project is aimed at uniting talented game developers, game designers, programmers and will help them to express themselves, reach a new level of professional skills, create unique game platforms and find partners to support their initiatives.

Representatives of the authorities, authors of the project and leading experts in the game development in Russia, namely, Head of the Presidential Office for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies and Infrastructure Tatiana Matveeva, Director General of «Russia - the country of opportunities» non-profit organization Aleksey Commissarov, Head of the All-Russian competition for the search and development of talents in the gaming industry Maryam Karpova, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov and other speakers spoke at the press conference.

Under the competition in the «Partner case» direction the participants meet and choose one of the represented professions in the gaming industry, where they pass educational modules of three levels of complexity, and solve case tasks from partners. Based on the results of passing the educational modules, 300 participants will reach the final of the competition, where, working together in teams, they will develop a sample product capable of providing an efficient solution to one of the proposed tasks from partners and companies of the gaming industry. The block will end with presentation of the created prototypes before the expert community, selection of the best teams and awarding winners.

Young people aged 14 and over in the team will become participants of the Game Projects Accelerator competition. During the competition, the children will have to pass a competitive selection for training in an educational programme aimed at developing game projects. The training will end with a public presentation of game projects, according to the results of which the teams will be invited to the final of the competition. In the final, they will have to present their finished game projects to the professional community and investors, determine the best teams and award the winners.

In autumn 2022, a children's track for participants aged 8 to 13 will be launched.

The winners of the competition will receive partner grants to finance the development and promotion of game projects created during the competition, internships with the possibility of subsequent employment of teams and individual participants in partner companies, valuable prizes, grants for training in selected professions, certificates for trips around Russia from "More than a Journey" programme.
