Cyberpark 2022 is the second annual event in the Cyberpark cycle, which was designed to bring the development of interactive content and cybersport in the Republic of Tatarstan to a new level, as well as to promote the creation of national interactive and gaming projects in Tatarstan. The first event was held in 2021 and gathered about 1,500 participants: cyber athletes, creators of computer and board games, and spectators of the event from all over the world.
Cyberpark 2022 will take place on 25 September and will combine three main branches: a cybersports championship, an educational conference, and a huge entertainment area.
The championship for the Cup of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan will be held in such world-famous eSports disciplines as CS:GO and Dota 2, as well as Standoff 2 - a mobile multiplayer game developed and published by Kazan studio “Axlebolt”. Additionally, participants will be able to compete in World of Tanks, HearthStone, Forza Motorsport, Click Storm Chess, FIFA, NHL, and Mortal Kombat. The total prize pool of the championship is 3,500,000 rubles.
The educational modular conference on eSports is designed to acquaint and educate the audience about career opportunities in the industry. The audience of the conference will be able to learn from leading representatives of the industry about how cybersport is developing in Russia and its prospects, how to start a career as an eSports athlete, and also about alternative professions in the field, e.g. in team or competition management, organization of tournaments or hosting streams.
The massive fun zone will be located both in the inside and outside areas. The entertainment zone will feature a variety of activities such as classic and role-playing board games, cybersport simulators, local tournaments, and virtual reality traveling. Moreover, there will be a geek market, an outdoor motor show, drone and car racing, photo booths, and much more.
The event will also feature a showcase of national game developers: there will be a tournament in battle royal mode on the new turn-based game Epicentrum among the projects, which will be released worldwide by Fair Games Studios, and a toy library on the single-player space game Trigon: Space Story by Sernur.tech Studio, while one of the new areas will be a cosplayer tournament with unique costumes from the game and geek universes.
The aim of the Cyberpark is to form a national space for communication of interactive content participants, to involve young people of the Republic of Tatarstan in digital entrepreneurship, and to develop cybersport in Tatarstan as a discipline that promotes psychological and cognitive competencies, tourism potential, as well as new opportunities for economic growth and high-paying jobs in the Republic of Tatarstan.
