Address from Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on the occasion of the Day of the Republic

In his address to Tatarstan residents on the occasion of the Day of the Republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has written:

“Dear Tatarstan residents! From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you with the main state holiday – the Day of the Republic. Tatarstan is a big family with representatives of various ethnicities and religions living in peace and concord.

This day unites us by warm feelings to our native land where we live and work and build plans for the future. We respect memory of our ancestors and are proud of the generation of winners who freed the world from fascism. We maintain measures of protecting people and restoring peaceful life on Donbass. Spiritual and moral values and traditions of our multi-ethnic population are very close to us and are our priority.

Due to creative work of Tatarstan residents and support from the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian Government our republic is successfully developing and is among leading regions in a number of macro- economic indicators. We implement large scale projects in industry, power, housing and road construction and agriculture. We support innovations, development of the IT sphere and new technologies.

Economic achievements make it possible to solve the main task – improvement of life level of Tatarstan residents, which is the aim of all social programmes and federal and regional projects under implementation. We develop the comfortable living environment and improved embankments, parks and boulevards are becoming points of attraction for people of all ages.

Our special point of concern is the inter-ethnic and inter-confessional peace and public concord. Multifaceted inflorescence of cultures and religions is our indisputable competitive advantage

Dear Tatarstan residents, prosperity of our republic is a result of our joint efforts and the basis for our confidence in the future. Together we are turning the republic into the best place for living and will keep it as such for the future generations.
