From November 20 to 25, the Russian Swimming Championship (25 m) 2022 will be held in Kazan, at the Palace of Water Sports. The tournament will be held as part of the II stage of the international complex competitions in swimming, synchronized swimming and diving "Friendship Games".
1098 athletes from 22 countries - Russia, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Brunei, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Laos, Madagascar, Mongolia, Montenegro, Namibia, Nigeria, Palestine, South Africa, Rwanda, Solomon Islands, Sudan, Syria, Tonga, Tajikistan, Uganda - entered the competition.
During 6 days, the audience will see the strongest athletes of Russia on the pool tracks, including Evgeny Rylov, Kliment Kolesnikov, Mikhail Vekovishchev, Mikhail Dovgalyuk, Anton Chupkov, Kirill Prigoda, Sergey Fesikov, Maria Kameneva, Arina Surkova, Svetlana Chimrova, Evgenia Chikunova, Nika Godun, Andrey Minakov, Vladislav Grinev, Maria Temnikova, Ilya Borodin, Maxim Stupin, Andrey Zhilkin, Daria S. To participate in the Russian Swimming Championship are allowed:
athletes as part of the sports teams of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation formed following the results of the championships of federal districts, the championships of the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg (held from October 25 to 28, 2022), as well as other official sports competitions included in the Unified Calendar of interregional, All-Russian and international sports events for 2022, as well as official sports competitions included in the ECP of the subjects of the Russian Federation for 2022. The quantitative composition of the sports national team of the subject of the Russian Federation is determined in accordance with the distribution by groups for 2021-2022 based on the results of the Russian Championship (pool 25 m) in 2021.

In accordance with the regulation "On awarding athletes, coaches, specialists of the Russian national swimming team who have achieved high sports results in 2022", the Russian Swimming Championship (25 m) is included in the second cluster, according to the results of which prize money will be paid to athletes. Prizes can also be paid to personal trainers, specialists of the Russian national swimming team participating in the preparation of winners, prize-winners of competitions.
Separately, at the competitions of the II and III stages of the "Friendship Games" in swimming, athletes who will enter the top 20 best results in FINA points will receive prizes. For the best result, both men and women are entitled to 120 thousand rubles, for the second - 115, for the third - 110. The general management of the organization and holding of the Russian Swimming Championship (25 m) is carried out by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, the ANO Directorate of Sports and Social Projects, the Public Organization All-Russian Swimming Federation.

The Friendship Games are international swimming, synchronized swimming and diving competitions that take place in Kazan from July to December 2022.
The first stage of the "Friendship Games" "Mir" was successfully held from July 19 to August 3. It was attended by 984 athletes and 237 representatives of teams from 16 countries, and 376 sets of medals were awarded.
