Kazan will host the III stage of the international competition "Friendship Games"

From December 9 to 16, Kazan will host the III stage of the international complex competitions in swimming, synchronized swimming and diving "Friendship Games". More than 1,300 members of delegations are expected to participate in the Games, including about 1,020 athletes, 280 officials in delegations from 12 countries, 104 judges, as well as 1 technical delegate.

From December 9 to 11, the international competitions "Svetlana Romashina Cup" in synchronized swimming will be held within the framework of the "Friendship Games". Leading young synchronists from different countries will perform at the already traditional tournament named after the multiple Olympic champion. They will be accepted by the USC "Burevestnik". The competition will start on December 9 with an opening ceremony. Svetlana Romashina's master class will be held on December 10, and a gala concert will be held on the final day of the tournament, December 11.

A total of 33 sets of medals will be awarded.

From December 14 to 16, the Water Sports Palace will host the Dmitry Sautin Cup international diving competitions with the participation of leading Russian and foreign athletes. Olympic medalists Evgeny Kuznetsov and Alexander Bondar, winners of the European Championships Nikita Schleicher and Yulia Timoshinina and many other famous divers will gather in Kazan. In total, participants from 9 countries will compete in the competition, who will compete for awards in jumping from a three-meter springboard and a tower.

"The third stage of the Friendship Games should be exciting. We have already seen the Venezuelan team, our friends from Armenia, Belarus and Uzbekistan will come, and the Cubans will fly straight from the World Championship in Canada. There will be Argentines, Ecuadorians, Serbs. We are waiting for a real celebration of sports in Kazan!" said Olympic champion Dmitry Sautin.

The opening ceremony of the Dmitry Sautin Cup will be held on December 14.

The Friendship Games are held under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, the All-Russian Swimming Federation, the Synchronized Swimming Federation of Russia and the Russian Diving Federation, the organizer of the competition is the ANO Directorate of Sports and Social Projects.
