Rustam Minnikhanov pays a working visit to Qatar

On December 18, Tatarstan President, Chairman of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a working visit on Qatar National Day as an honored guest, was met by HE the Minister of State Sheikh Fahad bin Faisal Al-Thani and the Russian Ambassador to Qatar Dmitry Dogadkin at the International airport.

At the invitation of the Qatari side, Tatarstan President visited the festival of Qatari culture «Darb Al Saai», and also held a meeting with HE the Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad al-Thani, at which they discussed cooperation under the Russia - Islamic World Strategic Vision Group.

Minnikhanov emphasized that the preservation of cultural and civilizational identity of peoples is one of the important areas of the Group’s work. Qatar, as a permanent member of the organization of Islamic cooperation, is an important and reliable partner of Russia in the Middle East region.
