On 15 February in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the regional organizational committee for preparation of the ХIV International economic forum “Russia-Islamic world: KazanForum 2023”.
Having reminded that in 2023 the forum to be held in Kazan on 18019 May of the current year has been given the federal status and will be prepared and held in partnership with the Roscongress Fund, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Forum is an efficient economic tool for broadening interaction between the Russian Federation and Islamic countries and is an inseparable part of the work of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group.
He said that at the first organizational meeting held in Moscow on 2 February, the Chairman of the committee Marat Khusnullin gave necessary instructions for further work and informed that the business programme of the forum has been shaped and the official venues have been defined.
He attached special attention to issues of venue preparation, accommodation of guests and provision of necessary transport logistics and catering.
Speaking at the meeting, the Director of the Roscongress Fund Aleksandr Stuglev informed that the Forum preparation work is in full swing and said he was sure that beginning from 2023 the International economic forum “Russia-Islamic world: KazanForum” will occupy its own place in the international events calendar.
The Head of the Tatarstan Investments Development Agency (TIDA) Taliya Minullina told about main events of the Forum such as inter-parliamentary commissions and working groups, business sessions, the Halal Fair and the cultural programme, adding that the complete programme of the Forum has been already published at its site: https://kazanforum.ru/
Regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova informed participants of the meeting about readiness of cultural facilities to the Forum and the Head of the Tatmedia Agency Aydar Salimgaraev told about the media support of the Forum and journalists’ accreditation.
Regional Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov was appointed the head of the regional headquarters, the meetings of which will be held weekly.
