Address of the Rais of Tatarstan on the occasion of the celebrations of the International Women’s Day

In his address on the occasion of the celebrations of the International Women’s Day, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said:

“Dear ladies! I congratulate you with the International Women’s Day. This spring holiday is filled with warmth, happiness, smiles and real feelings. Flowers, gifts and congratulations are just a small part of our gratitude to you. Each of you is unique and we admire your ability to combine work with house chores and care for the family.

Both adults and children need warmth, kindness and generosity of the woman’s heart that is why this spring holiday is filled with special appreciation to a woman as a personification of love, beauty, motherhood and peacefulness.

We are extremely grateful to our mothers on whose knees we learned to love our native tongue, culture and traditions, to our wives, to families with many children and to everyone who has dedicated herself to this noble case. It gains a special meaning in the Year of a Teacher and Mentor held in Russia and the Year of National Traditions and Cultures held in Tatarstan.

We know how many women work at responsible places on an equal footing with men and overcome all difficulties.

Dear ladies! You make an enormous contribution into the development of our native Tatarstan and the whole of the country at the same time remaining loving wives, mothers and wise mentors and keepers of the spiritual, moral and family values!

From the bottom of my heart I wish you happiness, optimism, good health, hope, love and understanding”.
