Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the opening of the Russia Venture Forum
On 16 March, speaking at the opening ceremony of the of the Russia Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that this even has been held since 2005 and today has become a key event for presentation of innovative developments.
“Traditionally this platform organizes an exposition of innovational companies, meetings and discussions of important issues. I would like to thank all participants. We will try to make your participation in the forum useful and interesting,” he said.
Executive Director of the Russian Venture Investments Association Albina Nikkonen said that the RVF is an efficient platform for interaction of innovators and investors from the whole country.
In his speech the Senior Vice-President in Innovations of the Skolkovo Fund Kirill Kaem stressed that demand in technologies is growing today and the most burning issue is investing into startups. “I hope very much that during this day’s discussions we will define models which will enable further development of Russian technologies”, he added.
After the opening ceremony Rustam Minnikhanov and guests of the Forum got acquainted with the exposition of various innovative companies.
This year the Forum, where representatives of the leading venture funds, investment companies and high tech sector entrepreneurs will discuss new trends and strategic tasks for further development of the sector in Russia and the international arena, has brought together more than 3 thousand participants and 51 startups.
