Congratulations from Rustam Minnikhanov with Christmas

In his congratulation with Christmas to residents of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Dear Orthodoxy compatriots! I congratulate you with the remarkable holiday of Christmas.

Celebration of Christmas is filled with hope and the desires of all believers for spiritual resurrection, mercy, kindness and justice. Today during times of hardships all this is in high demand in our society and finds a response in hearts of people no matter what their nationality or religion is.

The bright Christmas is not just a great church but also a family holiday emphasizing the importance of taking care of the near and dear ones. It gains a special meaning in the Year of the Family the aim of which is to facilitate state policy in the sphere of protection of the family and preservation of traditional family values.

The departed year was marked by important events in Orthodox life ofn the republic, one of which was the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Kazan seminary – one of the oldest religious educational institutions of the country. The representative V Forum of Orthodox community of Tatarstan held in Kazan with participation of numerous guests, religious, state and public leaders summarized results of the latest years of development.

I hope that the new 2024 will also be rich with good deeds and actions and will fill our life with new spiritual joys and happenings.”
