Tatarstan President holds some meetings with UAE businessmen

On April 9, during the Eighth Annual Investment Meeting, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a round-table meeting with UAE businessmen and answered their questions.

Following Minnikhanov’s welcoming speech addressed to the participants of the round table, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina made a presentation of the industrial, economic and investment potential of the republic. Director General of Innopolis Special Economic Zone Igor Nosov gave details about the activities of the special economic zone and Ayrat Kasimov told the meeting about the aspects of the Halal Guide regional project.

Representatives of large UAE companies specializing in various fields, such as the Alnowais Investments industrial and power engineering conglomerate, the Archirodon construction company, NPS, the largest provider of oil and gas and petrochemical services in the Middle East, the private Egyptian Carbon Holdings Company, the Royal International Group, Al Fahim Group and Sharaf Group, Foundation Holdings and others took part in the round table.

Also, on the sidelines of the Forum, Minnikhanov had a meeting with Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum, a member of the family of the rulers of Dubai at the stand of the Republic of Tatarstan. Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum said that he is responsible for the development of alternative electric power and agriculture in the UAE. He is interested in the experience of different countries and is ready to cooperate in these areas of the economy.

A meeting with Executive Director of the Saudi InterHealth Company Emad Abulaziz El Dukair was also held during the forum. This company is interested in cooperation in terms of establishing innovative scientific and educational medical centres and the training of highly qualified medical specialists with international accreditation. Minister of Health of the republic Marat Sadykov and Rector of Kazan State Medical University Aleksey Sozinov, whom Tatarstan President gave an errand to study in detail this investment project and prepare proposals for its implementation in Kazan took part in the meeting.

At the end of each meeting, Minnikhanov invited the participants to visit Russia and learn more about the investment opportunities of the republic.
