Tajikistan Prime Minister and Tatarstan President open Tajikistan-Tatarstan business forum

On March 19, in Dushanbe, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Tajikistan Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda delivered their welcoming speeches at the opening of Tajikistan-Tatarstan business forum, at which trade and economic potential of the two republics was presented.

Opening the business forum, Minnikhanov thanked President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon for attention and support of the development of interregional cooperation. “I am pleased to present the economic potential of Tatarstan today. We attach great importance to the development of cooperation with Tajikistan as part of relations between Russia-Tajikistan and we will be glad to expand mutually beneficial ties. For our part, we are ready to provide overall assistance in their development,” he said in his speech.

“Following the visit of our delegation to Tajikistan, we expect the business community to open up new areas for interaction and agree on joint projects. Our delegation arrived in Dushanbe to intensify cooperation, which has not been intensive recently,” Minnikhanov stressed and added:“ We are interested in the presence of such leading companies of the republic as Tatneft, TAIF, KAMAZ, KMPO, Pozis, Tatkhimpharmpreparaty and others on the market of Tajikistan. We have a lot of opportunities for cooperation. We hope that today's business forum will demonstrate the mutual interest of our companies to expand cooperation. ”

At the end of his speech, Minnikhanov thanked once again for participating in the forum and invited representatives of the government and business of Tajikistan to our republic, noting that the closest reason for a business visit is the 11th International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2019", which will be held in Kazan on April 24-26.

During the forum, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Hamralizoda Farrukh made a detailed presentation of the investment opportunities of Tajikistan. Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov made a report on trade, economic and industrial potential of the republic.

The forum ended with the signing of agreements between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Tatarstan.
