The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with representatives of Tawazun Defense and Security Development Fund (United Arab Emirates).
The meeting was held in the office of Rustam Minnikhanov in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
They discussed the participation of Tawazun in the implementation of the project of production of "Aurus" executive class cars on the territory of the "Alabuga" special economic zone.
Currently at the site of "Ford Sollers Elabuga" the preparation for the beginning of mass production of "Aurus" executive class cars is being conducted. The project is a serious incentive for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also provides an opportunity to effectively use the potential of the Russian automotive market in the segment of commercial vehicles.
To implement the project, Aurus LLC was organized with the participation of NAMI FSUE, Tawazun Defense and Security Development Fund (UAE), Sollers PJSC.
During the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov said: "It is very pleasant that a serious and important project for our country, which is carried out with the participation of your company, will be implemented on the territory of the "Alabuga" special economic zone."
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed confidence that the Aurus project will be successful.
