Rustam Minnikhanov meets Charge d'affaires ad interim of the State of Israel to the Russian Federation Yacov Livne

On February 20, at their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Charge d'affaires ad interim of the State of Israel to the Russian Federation Yacov Livne, who is on a working visit in Tatarstan, discussed issues of further development and strengthening of relations between Israel and Tatarstan as one of the Russian entities.

“We appreciate the development of relations between Tatarstan and the State of Israel as part of friendly Russian-Israeli relations,” Minnikhanov said and expressed his hope that the current visit of the Chargé d'affaires ad interim of the State of Israel to Russia will be interesting and productive.

Minnikhanov noted that Israel is a country with the strong economy and one of the world leaders in innovation.

We are interested in many innovations that you have already implemented, he said. Our colleagues visit your country and study the experience of Israel in various areas, Minnikhanov went on to say.

During his stay in Tatarstan, Livne got acquainted with the economic potential of the republic at the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, visited the city of Innopolis, where he was informed about the activities of the Innopolis special economic zone and the Innopolis University.

Later on the same day, Livne will visit the Kazan Jewish Religious Community, meet representatives of the Jewish community of republic and Chief Rabbi of Tatarstan Yitzhak Gorelik and attend other events.
