On March 5, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Yury Borisov and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting with large industrial enterprises of the republic on fostering economic growth.
It was noted during the meeting that in his May decree Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a number of key tasks, including accelerating the pace of economic growth, expanding non-oil exports, and turning Russia into a top-5 world economy.
The meeting discussed issues of providing state support to industrial enterprises to increase their profitability and investment opportunities.
A number of documents were signed in the presence of Borisov and Minnikhanov.
In particular, Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov and Director General of the Agency of Technological Development Sergey Zinchenko signed a cooperation agreement between the Government of Tatarstan and the Agency of Technological Development in terms of the development of high-tech industrial products in the region.
Chairman of Promsvyazbank Petr Fradkov and Director General of Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation Renat Mistakhov signed an agreement on cooperation in the financial and credit sphere in terms of implementing shipbuilding projects.
