On March 30, speaking at an online extraordinary briefing at the Government House of the republic, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the sanitary-epidemiological commission of Tatarstan, Leyla Fazleeva reported that starting from the 30th of March, 2020 the regime of self-isolation to prevent the spread of COVID-2019 coronavirus infection will be introduced in the republic for all its residents.
Fazleeva reminded about the measures that have already been taken in the republic as part of the current sanitary and epidemic situation.
She went on to report that in accordance with the Decree of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation on strengthening measures taken to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan was signed today.
Fazleeva also reminded that it is not allowed to conduct leisure, entertainment, sports, educational, exhibition, advertising and other events with the presence of citizens, as well as to provide relevant services in parks and squares located in the republic.
She continued that starting from the 28th of March 2020, shopping centres, shopping malls, retail markets and shopping facilities located in them have suspended their activites in the republic.
Fazleeva added that the restrictions do not apply to the sale of goods remotely, delivery to customers, with the exception of goods, the free sale of which is prohibited or restricted for sale in Russia.
Moreover, catering services are also provided remotely and in the take-away mode.
Fazleeva said that the self-isolation regime was introduced starting from the 30th of March, 2020 until the situation is imptoved.
She clarified that those who work and carry out activities in facilities and enterprises of Tatarstan, which have been listed in the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, have the right to leave their places of residence and places of self-isolation.
They, in particular, include continuous-cycle enterprises, health care facilities, facilities selling foodstuff, pharmacies and other organizations providing daily life activities.
Since the 30th of March, 2020, inter-municipal transportations of both passengers and baggage have been suspended in the region, she said.
