Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the implementation of economic and social support measures

On May 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a videoconference held by Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the implementation of economic and social support measures and the discussion of proposals for a phased exit from the regime of anti-epidemic restrictions introduced during combating the spread of new coronavirus infection.

Opening the meeting, Putin informed about the support measures for the citizens that had been taken earlier. Among the priority decisions are direct payments to families with children, employees of medical institutions and ambulance services, increase in benefits for those who faced with temporary loss of employment after March, 1, state subsidies and preferential salary loans for enterprises that retain their teams; deferrals of tax, credit and rent payments.

Additional support measures were taken during a series of meetings on the situation in the basic sectors of the national economy: the automotive industry, the construction industry, the banking sector, the fuel and energy complex, the defense industry and the space and rocket industry.
