On June 2, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in an online meeting of the Investors Club of Tatarstan moderated by Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina.
Minnikhanov thanked all the investors who trusted Tatarstan, located their production facilities here and created jobs. He emphasized that Tatarstan today is one of the leading and industrialized regions of the country. “Tatarstan economy is based on oil production and refining but we also have developed petrochemicals, aircraft and automobiles, and the production of optics, engines, electronics, and pharmaceutical products. We place strong emphasis on the IT sector, nano- and biotechnologies and robotics. We were among the first in the country to start the establishment of industrial parks. To date, industrial sites of the municipal level have been established in almost every region of the republic. Their number reached 100. Last year, Tatarstan ranked first in investments in fixed assets among the regions of the Volga Federal District, the 12th - among all regions of Russia in attracted foreign direct investment, and the second in the National Rating of the Investment Climate in the Russian regions”, Tatarstan President emphasized.
Minnikhanov also expressed gratitude to investors and entrepreneurs who conduct sponsorship, charity events in the fight against coronavirus, despite their own difficult situation.
Among the major tasks, Minnikhanov called bringing the economy to stable growth. “We all see what is happening in the world today. The landscape of the global economy is changing, fundamentally new markets for goods and services are being established. In these conditions, you, investors, have a key role,” he said.
Tatarstan President emphasized that the priority task for state authorities is to create the widest possible opportunities for implementing business ideas and for entrepreneurial potential, in general.
Representatives of investing companies, members of the Investors Club of the republic expressed their suggestions regarding the further development of business in Tatarstan and the increased opportunities in production.
