On March 16, speaking at a briefing at the Government House of the republic, Director of Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund Ainur Aideldinov said that 3,000 people from Russia, Great Britain, the USA and China, as well as over 200 Russian and international investors will take part in the 15th Russian Venture Forum to be held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Centre on April 7-8, 2021.
This year the forum will include offline and online events in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological requirements. The organizers of the forum have prepared an eventful programme, which include an industry conference and the StartupExpo - an exhibition of technology projects.
As part of the business programme, participants will discuss venture capital market analytics, government regulation of venture capital business in Russia, the process of reorganizing development institutions, digital transformation of finance, and other topics relevant to the industry.
Projects focused on attracting investments and bringing their technologies to the market will be selected on the sidelines of the StartupExpo. More than fifty startups will be presented to investors. “Under the Idea 1000 programme, six projects will be eligible for a grant of up to 3 million roubles. Another 10 projects will be selected for the acceleration programme. They will receive up to 5 million roubles of financing,” Aideldinov said.
