Rustam Minnikhnaov has taken part in an opening of the international exhibition of Halal industry “Russia Halal Expo”

On 19 May in his welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the international exhibition of Halal industry “Russia Halal Expo”, which was organized on the sidelines of the 13th International economic summit “Russia-Islamic World: KazanSummit”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the KazanSummit is the main and the only platform of economic interaction of Russian regions and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Russia.

“The Summit has proved itself as a successful business platform for establishing new contacts and presentation of economic possibilities and investments potential of our country. The event is organized on the sidelines of the work of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia – Islamic Word” ,the regular meeting of which will be held tomorrow”, he said.

“The leading idea of the summit business programme will be the joint consumption economy and the common advantage of Halal”, Minnikhanov added.

Russia Halal Expo is the largest exhibition of Halal industry in Russia and the current year it celebrates its 5th birthday having doubled in the exposition area and covering 10 thousand square meters.

Minnikhanov said that the exhibition demonstrates practically all spheres of economics including medicine and healthcare, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, fashion and beauty industry, tourism and hospitality, food and catering, information technologies and finances and investments.

It is for the first time that the KazanSummit holds the World Halal Day which has been held all over the world starting from 2014. All events will be free for all visitors.

Tatarstan President paid special attention to the fact that the current summit is held within the celebrations of the1100 anniversary of adopting Islam by the Volga Bulgaria.
