On June 24, during his working visit to Yakutsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of Tatar public organizations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
“I am very glad to meet you. Even though you live far from Tatarstan, you cherish your national traditions, native language, culture and customs” Minnikhanov welcomed the participants of the meeting.
Tatarstan President congratulated the participants on the Days of Tatarstan held in Yakutsk, noting that our republic and Yakutia are connected by ethnic roots, similar languages and culture. He thanked the leadership of the region for the attention to the interests of 8,000 Tatars of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
At the end of the meeting, Minnikhanov visited the exhibition "Visiting the Tatars", organized from the funds of the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve and opened at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
